All About Me
I began working remotely before most of the world even realized that it could be a thing, way back in 1995, when Pitney Bowes signed a contract to reduce their emissions in Connecticut. The three of us in my department that lived the furthest away were given the option to work from home. As I soon became a single parent through divorce, I jumped at the chance to eliminate a two hour per day commute time to spend more time with my then four year old son. I worked at home for them for seven years.

Throughout my career, I've worked remotely about half of the time, with some positions being completely remote and others being hybrid. I've worked in several different industries - mailing and shipping, healthcare, telecommunications, elder care and cryptocurrency to name a few. The disparity of industries has resulted in a broad range of experience with flexibility and resourcefulness being my strong suit.

Fast forward to 2020 and the pandemic hit. I was responsible for our team pivoting to remote work, as my direct supervisor had never worked remotely and hadn't a clue on how to handle it. Being familiar with the technologies needed to ensure a cohesive department from a remote standpoint, I was instrumental in the development of our team for nearly a year and a half.
